Shad M. Brooks, the world renowned YouTuber, Fantasy Author and all round Super Geek.
It all started with Shadiversity, Shad's first YouTube channel (originally called 'I Am Shad') that launched back in 2015, which now has over 1.6 million subscribers. Over the years Shad has accomplished many things, from writing novels to to starring in multiple web series. He has consulted for the film industry and some of the largest names in the fantasy and pop culture genres. Shad has launched three additional YouTube channels including Knights Watch, The Shadlands, and Shad AI, and has been a major host on many popular live streams, as well as helped produce various custom products that are must have collectables for every geek at heart.
Shad's undying passion for innovative content has led him to explore a multitude of artistic mediums, and the sheer variety of creative work is a testament to his versatility.
Shad's love for fantasy can be traced back to his childhood in country Victoria, where he spent his days making wooden swords and exploring imaginary worlds. This passion for the world of fantasy has grown and matured with him, allowing Shad to bring these worlds to life through videos, illustrations, and most importantly his novels and graphic novels. The acclaimed authoring skills of 'Shadow of the Conqueror' are a result of years of dedicated study, learning from some of the best novelists in the world, and his dedication to the craft of penmanship has earned him a loyal following of fans that wait in eager anticipation for the next instalment.

2020
Shadiversity gains
One Million Subscribers
In August of 2020 Shadiversity reached 1,000,000 subscribers, and Shad published a heartfelt thank you and refection video on the channel to commemorate the occasion.
2021
Shad launches
Knights Watch
Shad and his recently recruited Knights become guardians of all things Pop-Culture and fandom, making a significant impact in the review & commentary niche (as well as a little controversy*).

The channel that started it all. Shad's passion for swords, science fiction, fantasy, history and SWORDS resonated with people world wide, and Shad soon became a very popular creator within the infotainment field.

Shadow of the Conqueror
Shad releases Shadow of the Conqueror, the first book in the Chronicles of Everfall series, which instantly became a best seller on Amazon.

THE SPICY SIDE
OF SHAD M. BROOKS
Like any great internet personality, Shad has a little controversy surrounding him.
Shad is a proud Mormon with strong conservative beliefs, and from time to time is very strongly opinionated about those views. Although channels like Shadiversity are kept as non-political as possible, there are occasions where his opinions are voiced, like with certain historical, pop culture or 'hot takes' topics that have relevant political nuance. Because of this, his school of thought can be seen as controversial by some viewers, so unfortunately these individuals try to paint all of shad's creations with the same 'this is bad, you should hate this, you should hate him' brush.
Shad's personal position is that we should be able to have open discourse and friendships with people who hold differing political, religious or ideological beliefs. He believes all people are more than welcome to enjoy the things he creates, and much as he enjoys the content made by people who hold differing views.
Shad loves getting into the nitty gritty of topics and also features on shows like Friday Night Tights (a show by Nerdrotic and Geeks + Gamers) where a panel of famous (and infamous) YouTubers discuss and dissect all forms of entertainment from many viewpoints, including from their personal and ideological beliefs.
All of this means that Shad's outgoing personal and political opinions can be seen as problematic by some viewers due to being what they view as "overly conservative", when in truth Shad is just voicing his opinion, giving an alternative viewpoint, and participating in the banter and discussion as is part of his nature.

THE PHILANTHROPIC SIDE

Shad, although he never mentions it, is a very generous man, always offering help his local community and the world wide sword community whenever he can.
Shad has donated thousands of dollars in legal fees and promoted petitions to help fight the injustices of fathers losing custody of their children, he has lead online petitions to reinstate unfairly deleted YouTube channels of smaller creators, Shad has helped to promote the Paralympic basketball team for the Deaflympics, and has dedicated hundreds of hours to speak directly to young men about tough topics like mental health and societal value.
Shad had also dedicated countless hours of voluntary service in his church community from serving as a full time missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints for two years to being a youth leader, running weekly activities and teaching daily seminary classes to the youth.
He is a loving husband and dedicated father that frequently gives at his local church, and is continually giving shout outs to smaller creators within his industry to help boost their channels so they can become self sufficient. Shad, out of his own pocket, has flown multiple creators to the Shadiversity studio for just that reason, bringing them into Shadiversity, promoting their channels and inspiring them to reach for the stars.
He has hired a team who also care deeply about their community, whether that be their local community helping with soup kitchens, or the sword community at large. They have been key players in starting clubs, from HEMA to LARP, and have managing sword related resources to make sure collectors and practitioners around the world are kept safe and well informed.
Shad does all of this while living with the disability of ME/CFS (myalgic encephalomyelitis/chronic fatigue syndrome), and looking after his wife who also suffers from her own disability.
Shad may be humble with his philanthropic work, but his duty outside of the public eye does not go unnoticed by the many, many souls he has helped uplift.
